Lake Murray is a 50,000 acre man-made fresh water lake in South Carolina. Created in 1928, Dreher Island State Park is also located on the lake. Together Lake Murray and Dreher Island are popular with locals and outdoor enthusiasts who flock to their shores to enjoy water sports and safe swimming. Other fun activities to enjoy at Lake Murray include fishing, boating, and hiking along the shoreline.
