South Carolina Museum

Located in Columbia, South Carolina, the South Carolina Museum is the largest museum in the southeast. The extensive museum features a large collection of wide-ranging topics, including state history, art, natural history, science and technology. Visitors can explore an 1830s steam engine replica, a submarine replica, and a recreation of a prehistoric shark. Located on the Congaree River on an old shipping canal, the location dates back to time before the Civil War.


Hours -

Tuesday through Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 5:00p.m., Sunday 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Prices -

Adults (13-61): $7.00; Seniors: $6.00; Children (3-12): $5.00; Military: $1.00 off.
